The Neighbourhood of Medway Heights
Very much like the White Hills neighbourhood just to north of Gainsborough Road, the Medway Heights neighbourhood is what you would call an “average” London neighbourhood. The area’s housing prices track just below the average house price for the city of London, making it an attractive neighbourhood for those looking for a value priced “typical” family home. It is located at the edge of the city and development continues along its western edge. This new construction will likely pull up the average home price of the area over time as the new homes become a larger percentage of the total number of properties. The area benefits from good schools and a close proximity to the University of Western Ontario.
Canada Games Aquatic Centre
The Canada Games Aquatic Centre is a world-class swimming and diving facility, host to a multitude of top-level meets, including the 2001 Canada Summer Games. The Olympic-sized pool is specially equipped so that the configuration of the pool can be changed, and uses a movable floor in the shallow end to vary the depth. The water is kept at a comfortable temperature (around 83F).
The deep end features 1 metre and 3 metre springboards as well as 3 metre and 5 metre platforms. Visit during Forest City Dive practices or competitions and watch the athletes soar from the 7.5 and 10 metre platforms.
