The Stoney Creek Neighbourhood

Stoney Creek is a neighbourhood that mixes an older, more settled area bracketing Grenfell Drive with a new development that follows South and North Wenige Drive.  The south portion is characterized by larger, older family homes on good sized lots; the north portion is made up of new homes on smaller lots.  Both areas sell in the same price range, right around, or just above the average for the city as a whole.  The area gets its name from the creek and green space that runs through the south portion of the community.

Stoney Creek Community Centre, YMCA and Library

This newer facility has been a great addition to the north east part of the city, offering fitness, gym, aquatic and youth programs as well as offering a community centre and library.

Parks and Other Places of Interest

This area is serviced by Constitution Park which follows Stoney Creek as it winds through the neighbourhood as well as the Stephens Farm Park, the Northdale Woods, Forest Hill Park and the Wenige Park.

Schools

This neighbourhood is home to StoneyCreek Public School and Mother Theresa Catholic Secondary also makes its home in this area.
